Yoga

Traditional Hatha Yoga focusing on breath awareness, basic posture, movement, body alignment and strength.  Depending on the class size and level, poses will vary from gentle chair yoga to advanced Ashtanga style flow.

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout designed to sculpt the major muscle groups, plus all of those tiny stabilizing muscles by incorporating light weights with yoga, pilates and other core-strengthening exercises.  Combining a lunge series with standing balance sequences and traditional mat work, the routine flows from one pose to the next while continuously working toward total body/mind harmony. This workout will burn fat, while lengthening the muscles for a more lean physique.  This challenging and fun workout will make you “feel the burn” and leave you wanting more.

Pilates

Pilates strengthens the muscles that support the spine (the neck, shoulders, abs, hips and thighs) to bring balance into the body. Most body aches and pains are due to muscular imbalance. Pilates helps to realign the spine in order to decrease tension, increase flexibility, and strengthen the body from the inside out.

Yoga-Pilates Sculpt

Yoga-Pilates Sculpt is an upbeat class that combines the slow controlled breathing and stretching of yoga with the core tightening and strengthening of pilates.   The typical session will start with pilates exercises that will help to improve posture, create longer, leaner muscles, relief from stress and back pain.  Traditional yoga poses are added for improving balance and flexibility, and calming the mind.   Both systems are a perfect complement to each other, leaving one feeling fully refreshed.

Gentle-Yoga Sculpt

A more gentle Yoga Sculpt class designed for the senior body that combines gentle movements, light resistance training while keeping an emphasis on breathing and the mind-body connection. These classes are perfect for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners.  We will focus particular attention to increasing flexibility, strength, and overall balance that will enhance one’s quality of life. The postures are sequenced to open the body according to each individual’s personal fitness level.
